Take a look at this $200 million abandoned village of Disney-like castles in Turkey

Some beautiful castles, that look like they were designed by Disney fanatics, can be found in a county called Turkey. According to Business Insider, these homes were intended to bring foreigners to the area. However, with the economy not doing so well, developers have ended up filing for bankruptcy because of no buyers. The homes, known as the Burj Al Babas, have remained unoccupied since built. The main color scheme of blues and structure of the homes remains very similar to Disney style. Developers hope that the market for these homes will rise in 2019.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Burj Al Babas was built as a luxury community to attract foreign buyers to Turkey.
  • The color scheme makes the homes resemble Cinderella’s Castle, but they stand empty.
  • Turkey has recently experienced an economic downturn and the developers of the castle homes filed for bankruptcy.

“But what if we told you that some of the most Disney-like places have nothing to do with Disney at all?”
